Yesterday NAM’s dedicated runners Ros, Mike, Stas, Lucy, Richard, Siobhan and I took to the streets and ran 10km around the centre of London, and what a day it was!
The day began when the heavens opened and the rain came down in sheets! Despite the terrible weather the streets were lined with amazingly enthusiastic supporters who clapped, whistled and cheered us on the whole way as we sloshed our way around the streets.
The atmosphere was fantastic – it is really quite special to be one of 25,000 people who have all come together to raise money for good causes and have a great time too. Having spoken to all of the other runners, a great time was had by all, and everyone felt very proud of their times and what they'd achieved.
On behalf of the whole NAM team I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Ros, Mike, Stas, Lucy, Richard and Siobhan for running for NAM, raising such an incredible amount of money and helping us to support people with HIV. Their commitment and effort has been amazing and we are truly grateful for every penny they have raised, and every achey muscle they have today!
There’s still time to donate to all of our runners and congratulate them on their achievement, just click on their name above to be taken to their giving page.
We've gathered a few photos from the race below so take a look!
