aidsmap.com
NAM's website, www.aidsmap.com is one of the world’s richest sources of independent, accurate information on HIV and AIDS. In 2006, aidsmap.com was recognised by The British Medical Association as the best Patient Information Website.
Launched in 1998, aidsmap's primary aim was to reach people living with HIV all over the world and to ensure quality information on HIV was available free of charge to everyone, everywhere, at anytime. Ten years on, aidsmap.com is constantly evolving and developing, responding to the needs of our users.
There’s always something happening in the world of HIV – new studies, new research, new discoveries, new controversies, and on www.aidsmap.com you can find more original, daily newson developments in the world of HIV than on any other HIV website. Our editors keep a watchful eye on the many journals, conferences and other sources of reliable, evidence-based news and make the often complex information accessible and readable in the form of original news stories on aidsmap.com. Regular visitors to aidsmap will see that we add news stories every day and you can see the latest stories by checking our homepage.
The site also includes a completely searchable database of worldwide HIV organisations, one of the most comprehensive ranges of patient information available on the web and much, much more! There is also the option to sign up to receive one or more of our email bulletins:
- HIV Weekly
- HIV & AIDS Treatments in Practice (HATIP)
- Conference news updates
- aidsmap news updates
Although we are based in the UK, the information on aidsmap is relevant to people all over the world and an increasing proportion of the people visiting aidsmap are from the developing world.
