The British 10k London Run
This year, two members of NAM’s staff bravely entered the eighth annual ASICS British 10K London Run on July 6th 2008 to raise vital funds for NAM.
Both Caspar and Laura managed to complete the race in less than an hour: Caspar in 46 minutes and Laura in 57 minutes - a mere 11 minutes behind despite it being her first ever 10k!
To put their efforts into context, Olympic Marathon champion Stefano Baldini won the race in just 30.06 minutes, and only 100 people out of the 25,000 that took part managed the course in under 40 minutes. Perhaps NAM has two budding Olympians in the making?!
Despite predictions of torrential rain, the weather stayed mostly fine and the whole day was a huge amount of fun to be involved in. But most importantly we raised vital funds for NAM….
Your support for NAM is invaluable and together we will continue working to enable communities both in the UK and worldwide to take action and control in responding to HIV and to enable individuals living with HIV everywhere to better understand their health and treatment.
So far we have raised over £2500 for NAM and donations are still coming in! Let’s see if we can make it to £3000!
Thank you everyone for all your kind support so far!
Please sponsor Caspar and Laura to raise vital funds for NAM - it’s not too late - you can still donate to NAM!

Your support would not only drive me to try and keep up with Caspar but, more importantly, will help NAM to continue to support people by providing the latest, accurate information on HIV.

Please do sponsor us… It may be a race between us but, ultimately there’s only one winner as we’re both running to raise funds to support NAM!
